Hidden fire shut up in my bones
intense of what I feel
about lifting the Lord on high
consumed with fervent zeal

to impart truth at every turn
no matter what may come
everything depends upon God
in reverence to His Son

as life is lived within my faith
there’s safety from above
encompassed with divine presence
the quickness of His love
____
is shed upon a longing soul
to carry me along
assurance of the task at hand
to know from right and wrong
____
as each step is ordered from God
I know what faith may bring
a sense of orderly fashion
in which the heart may sing
____
for favor rests upon my head
I’m blessed to serve through grace
that someone needs a touch from God
who’ll see Him face to face

and therein lies the work of man
promoting love each day
where hidden fire can be released
by walking in the Way
